Criminal Court is set to deliver their verdict on 32 charges pressed against Former Managing Director of Maldives Marketing & PR Corporation (MMPRC), Abdulla Ziyath tomorrow. The trial is part of the MMPRC Corruption Scandal that was uncovered during former President Abdulla Yameen's tenure.

The hearing has been scheduled for 10:30am tomorrow. Ziyath had agreed to confess to all 32 charges under a plea deal with the state previously.

All 32 charges against Ziyath are regarding the MVR 1.2 billion corruption scandal of MMPRC, which included embezzlement of state funds due to be received through the lease of several islands as well. Ziyath is accused of embezzling a total of MVR 781 million from the total funds that were embezzled.

Ziyath has confessed to all charges under a plea deal with the state. Hence, all charges have now been proven against him.
