Deputy Speaker of Parliament 'Reeko' Moosa Manik said that the reason large groups of people have to settle in Male' is because the government wants it that way.

In a tweet sent today, Moosa said that no one group of people can take ownership of any island. He further shared the idea to develop larger islands like Laamu Gan, instead of bringing more people to Male'. He said that developing larger islands will increase the population on the island.
