A person has been stabbed and killed at Ellaidhoo Resort Maldives.

Spokesperson to the Maldives Police Service informed One Online that there was an assault at Ellaidhoo Resort and that the incident was reported to Police tonight, around 9:50 p.m.

One Online has learned that the victim was murdered with four slashes to the chest area with a large knife. The two people involved were said to be intoxicated. Both the people were also said to Sri Lankan nationals.

Maldives Police Service are active on scene at Ellaidhoo Resort and carrying oit an investigation. While the victim's body has been arranged to be taken to A.Dh. Mahibadhoo, the transfer has not yet taken place due to the investigation.
