The political party, Maldives Reform Movement (MRM), has said that they will continue to support the government and maintain the coalition.

In a statement issued celebrating their first year, MRM said that the party was formed through a series of reform activities and the most important basis for the party is to ensure that the Maldives remain an Islamic and independent country free from outside influence.

Noting that the democratic proceedings is the most important aspect of this national work, the MRM statement said that it is in their fundamentals to ensure justice is served, stop theft and corruption, protect women, children elderly and the people with disabilities while ensuring that the human rights are protected.

MRM said that as an important partner in the coalition government today, they will prioritize national interests in sustaining the government and continue to serve the people.

The MRM statement said that they played a vital role in electing the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
