CEO of the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said that the development of Hoarafushi Airport in Haa Alifu Atoll has been the airport to have been developed the fastest so far after land reclamation and showed the capabilities of the MTCC team.

He made the statement speaking on PSM.

Azim said that MTCC has completed 55 projects across the country in the past two years and those two years have been the most successful and profitable years.

“This year alone, we have completed 29 projects.” Azim said.

Azim said that MTCC is company trusted by the government and that is why the company is chosen to carry out the government’s development projects with the most recently with a project worth MVR 1.19 billion.

The MTCC CEO said that the company works to complete the projects they take on as fast as possible.

Speaking on the development of the Faresmaathoda Airport, Azim said that the Faresmaathoda Airport will be finished faster than the time it took to complete the Hoarafushi Airport development project.

The project was awarded to MTCC as a Design and Build project for MVR 114.8 million to be completed the development in 600 days.
