CEO of the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), Adam Azim, has said that earning profit is mandatory and the company aims to sustain the achievements they are gaining and expand the company to other sectors.
Azim made the statement in an interview to Raajje TV’s coverage on the two years of President Solih’s government.
He said that MTCC is a company with a large share of the government along with 24,000 local shareholders and it is for this reason that it is important to generate a good profit for the company.
A strong team is required to strengthen the company, said the MTCC CEO, and such a team is required to complete the projects on time and bring the results that meet the public expectation. And so, all that is necessary will be done to ensure the company have such a team, according to Azim.
Azim said that a timely completion of all public-related projects, without compromising the quality, is an important target for the company and the has delivered in the past two years.
Even during the COVID crisis, MTCC is working to finish every month with a small profit and no a losses, according to Azim.
He credit the hard work of his employees for the success and said that a success cannot be achieved during the challenging times as this without sincere, hard working employees.
