Thulusdhoo has reopened its doors for local tourism.
The Maldivian government began permitting guesthouses to reopen on October 15, after a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While six guesthouses on the island have been allowed to reopen, tourists have already made bookings for two of them,.
Tourism Minister Abdulla Mausoom had tweeted a thank you to the Thulusdhoo team for the invitation to participate in the event to welcome the first guests to the island after reopening.
Information released by Tourism Ministry shows 69 guesthouses have been allowed to reopen so far.
The islands allowed to reopen guesthouses:

- K. Maafushi
- A. A. Thoddoo
- A. A. Ukulhas
- K. Guraidhoo
