The Indian government has decided to ease visa procedures for Maldivian students, their guardians and for business purposes.
The Foreign Ministry said that during a meeting with Indian Ambassador to the Maldives, Sanjay Sudheer, it was revealed that the Indian government has decided in favor of easing of visas for Maldivian students, their guardians, and for purposes of business.
Medical visas are already being issued for treatment in India.
Minister Abdulla Shahid had thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar following the decision.
