16 tested positive in 24 hours, 13 locals

After another 16 people test positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours, the total number of cases in the country has risen to 11,659.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 16 people have tested positive including 13 locals and 03 foreigners.

In the same time frame, another 35 people recovered from COVID-19, the total recoveries in the country has reached 10,814 with another 800 people in treatment.

So far, there have been 38 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 32 locals, five Bangladeshi nationals and a Philippine national.
