Speaker of the Parliament, former President Mohamed Nasheed has said that the 14-day notice will be going out to the Home Minister, Imran Abdulla today regarding the no confidence motion against him.

Opening the parliament sitting today, Nasheed said that the no confidence motion was filed with the signatures of ten MPs.

And so, under Article 101-B and 207-B, the 14-day notice before starting the debate will be sent to Minister Imran today.

MPs of the Opposition Coalition of PPM/PNC presented the motion to the parliament yesterday. After presenting the motion, the Vice President of PPM and MP for Naifaru constituency, Ahmed Shiyam said that the motion was filed against Minister Imran for violating Articles 98 and 32 of the Constitution.
