Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said that the Vaavu Atoll Rakeedhoo harbor development project is moving forward at a fast pace.

The company said that the inner sea wall concrete work is currently ongoing and 50 percent of that work has been completed.

The project entails 156 meters of outer sea wall, 164 meters of inner sea wall, 74 meters of revetment, ramp development 429 quare meters of pavement at the arbor area and the installation of harbor lights according to MTCC.

The project worth MVR 18.5 million was contracted to MTCC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure on October 2019.
