The number of COVID-19-related deaths in the Maldives has risen to 37 after another Maldivian passed away today.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that a 80-year-old Maldivian male undergoing treatment at Hulhumale' Medical Facility, passed away at 3:50am today. They added that this is considered the 36th Covid-19 death in the country.
This marks the third COVID-19 death this month.
Previously there have been 36 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that included 30 locals, five Bangladeshi nationals, and a Philippine national. The number has now climbed to 37, with 31 locals.
The total number of cases in the country has risen to 11,178, with 10,097 total recoveries.
