The number of COVID-19-related deaths in the Maldives has risen to 36 after another Maldivian passed away today.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that a 67-year-old Maldivian male undergoing treatment at Hulhumale' Medical Facility, passed away at 7:00am today. They added that this is considered the 36th Covid-19 death in the country.
This marks the second COVID-19 death this month.
Previously there have been 35 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that included 29 locals, five Bangladeshi nationals, and a Philippine national. The number has now climbed to 36, with 30 locals.
The total number of cases in the country has risen to 11,154, with 9,995 total recoveries.
