A person in home quarantine in Fuvamulah City has tested positive for COVID-19.
Fuvamulah Hospital’s posted on Facebook saying that a sample collected from a person after 14 days in quarantine yesterday had tested positive and contract tracing is underway as per the procedure.
The hospital said that with a confirmed case in the city, the public is advised to stay indoors unless for essential needs and wear face masks and practice distancing when out in public. And the people in home quarantine are advised to follow the guidelines as well.
Previously, a positive case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Fuvahmulah City on 5 September after 36-year-old woman tested positive in home quarantine.
