Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said that their work on the Haa Alifu Hoarafushi airport development project will be completed by 11 November.
The company has made the remark after the CEO of MTCC, Adam Azim had visited the site to check on the progress.
MTCC said that they are currently completing the works of the airport’s passenger terminal and the fire building which began development on 19 September.
The project worth 13.8 million was contracted to the MTCC on 27th of the last August. The project is conditioned to be completed within 80 days of the contract signing and hand over to the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation.
While the passenger terminal and the fire building are under development, the airport development project is also contracted to MTCC. An area of 842,200 cubic meters were reclaimed via dredging to develop the airport with a 1,200 meter runway along with an apron and taxiway of 8,635 square meters.
