After another 69 people tests positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours, the total number of cases in the country has risen to 11,062.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 69 people have tested positive including 29 locals and 40 foreigners.
In the same time frame, another 47 people recovered from COVID-19, the total recoveries in the country has reached 9,880 with another 1,140 people in treatment.
Statistics show that there are 367 people in treatment at isolation facilities while 61 people are being treated at hospitals.
So far, there have been 35 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 29 locals, five Bangladeshi nationals and a Philippine national.
