Managing Director of FENAKA Corporation, Ahmed Saeed has said that the powerhouses in residential areas will be moved to another area before the end of next year.

Speaking on Raajje TV’s “Falasurukhee” program last night, Saeed said that a priority of the company is moving powerhouses out of residential areas to uninhabited areas and upgrading the network. And so, network upgrades are currently underway at 30 islands.

He said that relocations are underway at 51 islands currently and the government aims to complete the relocation of powerhouses in residential areas by the end of 2021.

The Managing Director of FENAKA said that by the end of the relocation projects, the network upgrades would be complete in the 154 islands where the company provides energy.
