59 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 10,157

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 59 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 47 locals and 12 foreigners.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 10,157

They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 196, which brings the total number of recoveries to 8,950. With this, the total number of active cases is now 1,166.

There are 34 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are six foreigners and 28 Maldivians.
