Former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb, who is a key figure in the MMPRC Corruption Scandal has stated that the stolen money from MMPRC can be recovered.

Adeeb made the statement speaking during the appeal hearing at High Court, after the Criminal Court decided to drop seven charges against him filed by the state.

The former Vice President said that he has been cooperating with the government on the investigation into the issue, and added that he will remain cooperative in the future as well. He also said that the MMPRC scandal needs to be investigated further.

As such he said that justice should be served in the case, and that there are quite a number of people who benefitted from the corruption. He even added that the stolen money could be recovered, as it should be done so for the citizens.

With the appeal hearing today, the hearings of the case are now over.

The judge noted that if nothing remains to be made clear, the next hearing will see a verdict in the case.
