Two people have been arrested in connection to the rape of a special needs woman in Alifu Alifu Bodufulhadhoo.

Maldives Police Service said that it was reported to the police that two men took a special needs woman on the island to the area where vessels are beached on Wednesday night and forcefully raped her and recorded the attack on video.

Police said that in connection to the crime, two local men of the ages 23 and 28 were arrested last night.
