66 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 8,900.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 66 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 50 locals and 16 foreigners.

They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 271, which brings the total number of recoveries to 6,559. With this, the total number of active cases is now 2,304.
There are 31 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are six foreigners and 25 Maldivians.
