The number of COVID-19-related deaths in the Maldives has risen to 31 after a 58-year-old Maldivian male passed away while undergoing treatment.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that a 58-year-old Maldivian male undergoing treatment for cancer and in quarantine in Ha.Kelaa, passed away at KRH at 08:15pm today. They added that this is considered the 31st Covid-19 death in the country.
This marks the second COVID-19 death in the Maldives within 24 hours. According to HPA, a 60-year-old Maldivian male admitted at HMF, ICU has passed away today at 06:24pm,
COVID-19 in the Maldives has seen 31 fatalities so far including 25 locals and six foreigners.
