The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives had risen to 5,936 after 114 more people recovered from the illness in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 114 which brings the total number of recoveries to 5,936. With this, the total number of active cases is now 2,613.

The agency also confirmed and additional 98 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 72 locals and 26 foreigners.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 8,584.

There are 29 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are five Bangladeshis and 23 Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
