137 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 8,140.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 137 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 96 locals and 41 foreigners.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 8,140.
They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 73, which brings the total number of recoveries to 5,338. With this, the total number of active cases is now 2,767.
There are 29 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are five Bangladeshis and 23 Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
