The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives had risen to 5,155 after 119 more people recovered from the illness in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 119 which brings the total number of recoveries to 5,155. With this, the total number of active cases is now 2,615.

The agency also confirmed and additional 137 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 96 Maldivians, 25 Bangladeshis, 9 Indians, 2 Sri Lankans, 2 Nepalese, 1 Filipino, 1 Russian, and 1 Ghanaian.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 7,804.

There are 28 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are five Bangladeshis and 22 Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
