A pedestrian has been injured after a piece of a beam that fell from Mahchangolhi Gomashige landed on their head.

Maldives Police Service said that the incident took place at 10:40 a.m. and the injured person was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment.

A person that lives in the area told One Online that the beam fell from the sheet on the second floor and the part of the beam that fell was about 15 inches.

The person said that Gomashige, an inhabited house, has had tin around the house for about two to three years and parts of the house has fallen on the road multiple times.
