Ooredoo Atholhu Dhuvun has officially begun today with over 5,000 runners from across the Maldives and abroad.
As the first of its kind virtual run, the Atholhu Dhuvun takes place across all twenty atolls of the Maldives and aims to promote togetherness through sport during a time where we are forced to be physically distant from loved ones.
Ooredoo said that the virtual run features two categories where pre-selected runners will complete a 15 kilometer run and the 5 kilometer category that will be open for the public to participate from where ever they are.
Participants can join the 5K virtual run from their homes or a nearby running track from wherever they are and complete the run whenever they want throughout the weekend of 28 and 29th August 2020.
Runners would have to complete the 5K using any recommended running app (Strava, Garmin Connect, Runtastic, Nike Run Club and Runkeeper) to track the run and submit a screenshot of the completed run route from the App to the Atholhu Dhuvun Portal to claim the medal.
