Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has started the harbor development project in Noonu Atoll Landhoo.

The company said that the materials and equipment was taken to the project site on 12 August 2020.

MTCC said that the project entails a harbor of 25,000 cubic meters, an inner seawall of 256 meters, 401 meters of outer seawall, 60 meters of revetment, harbor lights installation and pavement work on an area of 1,280 square meters with streetlights installation.

Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure contracted the project worth MVR 35.6 million to MTCC in December 2019.
