Theft from Euro Store office, two safes broken into

A large sum of money have been stolen from the famous business company in the Maldives, Euro Store, after two safes in the office broken into.

A media official of the Maldives Police Service said that theft at the company’s office on the first floor of Ma. Javaahiriyyaage is believed to have taken place sometime last night.

Police said that the crime was reported this morning and no arrests have been made so far in connection to the crime. And the details of the amount or any other details relating to case cannot be offered at this time.

One Online has learned that the thieves entered the building after breaking a door. However, neither the Euro Store company has yet to make a comment regarding the theft.

While a theft has taken place at Euro Store office, thieves broke into the office of Apollo Holdings in April 2020 stealing MVR 1.7 million and USD 2,200.

Police has yet to reveal any developments in that case.
