New cases of COVID-19 have been reported from Alifu Dhaalu Omadhoo and Raa Atoll Inguraidhoo.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has confirmed that the a 58-year-old woman in home quarantine at Omadhoo tested positive. The woman was confirmed positive when the samples were tested before being released from home quarantine after the set duration.

HPA said that a 36-year-old woman in home quarantine at Inguraidhoo also was confirmed positive today as well when the test results before being released from quarantine tested positive.

Earlier today, a two-month old boy was also confirmed positive in Kaafu Atoll Gulhi when tested before being released from home quarantine. The boy’s parents and the people in quarantine at the same house all tested negative according to the HPA.
