Ministry of Education has revealed that schools in Male' City will remain closed for the next two weeks as well.
In a tweet on Wednesday, the Ministry said that with the current COVID-19 situation and advice from the Health Protection Agency (HPA), schools in Male' City will remain closed for a period of two weeks with classes being conducted virtually.
According to the Ministry, the decision to reopen schools will be reconsidered in two weeks' time after looking into the situation in the future.
Schools were set to reopen on August 9th following the mid-term holidays. However, the government decided to keep them closed for a period of two weeks starting from August 9th to August 19th due to the surge in COVID-19 cases.
