MP for Kaashidhoo constituency, Abdulla Jabir has called for the resignation of the Governor of the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA), Ali Hashim.

He made called for the resignation while talking on the parliament floor today on the economic issues and corruption in the country.

And so, MP Jabir said that USD is not available for even MVR 20 these days but the government has been stealing by bringing in USD 250 millions and has shared it among the companies.

Jabir said that the number of corruption-related matters noted on the Audit Report shows that the government’s administrative financial operations are not in order.

He also accused government ministers of stealing from the nation by keeping the country under lock down in the name of COVID-19.

MP Jabir said that he would be going to the MMA area today to prove that to the people of the country.
