124 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 5,909.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 124 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 100 Maldivians, 16 Bangladeshis, 03 Indians, 02 Nepalese, 01 Filipino, 01 Ukrainian, and 01 Australian.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 5,909.

They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 139, which brings the total number of recoveries to 3,488. With this, the total number of active cases is now 2,389.

There are 23 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and nineteen Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
