Another person in home quarantine at Raa Atoll Hulhudhuffaaru has tested positive for COVID-19.

Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) said that the person who tested positive in Hinmafushi is a 40-year-old man and a woman in home quarantine on the island has tested positive as well.

Talking to One Online, the Senior Administrative Officer at the Hulhudhuffaaru Health Center, Abdulla Shareef said that the two people are in good health. He said that the two were tested on Tuesday and received the result today.

He said that four people have now been confirmed positive in the island with three active cases. And so, their state is being monitored daily and would be moved out of the island if they require further treatment.

The total number of COVID-19 cases have gone up to 5,679 with 3,208 recoveries and 2,449 active cases along with 22 fatalities including 22 locals.
