A person in home quarantine at Kaafu Atoll Hinmafushi has tested positive again.

Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) said that the person who tested positive in Hinmafushi is a 29-year-old local man.

Talking to One Online, the Vice President of the Hinmafushi Island Council, Hassan Faaiz said that the Health Protection Agency (HPA) informed the council of the patient’s test result this morning and currently has no symptoms of the illness.

Councilman Faaiz said that a request has been made to move the person to a facility of HPA since the patient is currently in a house with other people and the island does not have a COVID facility.

And as a precaution, the people at the same house as the man who tested positive is in home isolation for 14 days.

A person was confirmed in Hinmafushi last month as well.
