A woman in Noonu Atoll Miladhoo has tested positive for COVID-19 while in home quarantine.

Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) said that the person who tested positive in Hinmafushi is a 22-year-old local woman.

Talking to One Online, the President of Miladhoo Island Council, Ilyas Abdulsamad said that aside from the woman, another person was confirmed positive today as well.

Councilman said that both of the people who tested positive are still on the island and the council is working to move them to the nearest facility.

HEOC said that an island would not be placed under quarantine if the people testing positive does not violate the quarantine regulations.
