128 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 5,494.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 128 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 83 Maldivians, 35 Bangladeshis, 04 Indians, 02 Nepalese and 04 Sri Lankans.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 5,494.

They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 36, which brings the total number of recoveries to 2,920. With this, the total number of active cases is now 2,553.

There are 21 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and seventeen Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
