143 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 5,366.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 143 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 87 Maldivians, 40 Bangladeshis, 10 Indians, 03 Nepalese, 02 Sri Lankans and 01 Egyptian.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 5,366.

They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 35, which brings the total number of recoveries to 2,884. With this, the total number of active cases is now 2,461.

There are 21 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and seventeen Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
