Mohamed Jaish Ibrahim has been appointed as the Chairman of Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
In a tweet by the Finance Ministry, it was revealed that the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) appointed Jaish to the position this Tuesday.
Former HDC Chairman, Mohamed Shahid was sacked in November 2018, following the change in government after then-President Abdulla Yameen lost the election.
Jaish had pursued higher education in the field of architecture and project management and holds a masters degree in business management. He was previously part of the Board of Directors at the Bank of Maldives (BML) and currently fills in as a board member for Maldives Stock Exchange (MSE).
The Managing Director of HDC is Suhail Ahmed, the board includes directors Ibrahim Afrath, Abdulla Rameez, Ahmed Athif and Hassan Muneer alongside Chairman Mohamed Jaish.
