Minister of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam said that 1200 house are set to be given in the Gulhifalhu plan.
Responding to questions at the parliament sitting today, Minister Aslam said that the Ministry currently has a draft plan and changes would be made to the plan in different phases.
However, the number of houses to be given as part of the project would not come down, according to Minister Aslam and there is a chance that number would go up.
Following the Planning Minister’s response, the Speaker of the Parliament, former President Mohamed Nasheed said that having a draft plan means it should be published on the state gazette so the public would be informed.
In response, Minister Aslam reiterated that the Ministry has a draft plan and said that he is aware that a process is required to stamp it. And that it has to be shared with the Male’ City Council and other relevant authorities.
