CEO and Managing Director of the Maldives Transporting and Contracting Company (MTCC), Adam Azim has said that the expansion project of the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital would be completed by this November.

Speaking on SanguTV’s “Khabarahfahu” program last night, Azim said that MTCC will be completing projects on schedule. And so, the expansion of Kulhudhuffushi Regional hospital will be completed in November of this year at the latest.

Health Ministry contracted the hospital expansion and repairs to MTCC and the project began on 17 May 2020. However, the development of the buildings began last month. And so, the columns phase of the new ward building is now underway.

MTCC said that project entails the repairs at the OPD area and the laboratory along with the construction of a ward building of 30 beds and connecting the main building with the office building with a walkway.

The project valued at MVR 30.3 million is aimed as a solution to the space issue at the hospital in the Haa Dhaalu Atoll.
