A local man has died after falling from the sixth floor of a residential house in Male’ City.

Maldives Police Service said that an incident was reported at 2:39 a.m. where a 74-year-old local man fell from the sixth floor of a house in Henveiru district. The man was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) following the incident.

As the police investigated the case further, it is unclear at this time how the man fell over.

Last month, a foreigner at a tower in the Hulhumale’ phase 2 fell from the 14th floor. The man died in treated at the Hulhumale’ Hospital.
