The President’s Office has opened applications to fill a Commission Membership vacancy at the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM).

Interested applicants may submit their applications on the 16th, 17th or 18th of August 2020, between 0930 hrs and 1230 hrs, to the President's Office’s reception. Application forms are available from the President's Office reception area during official hours, and can be downloaded from the President's Office website: www.presidency.gov.mv/

Applications were opened after the Parliament moved to dismiss Vice President Mohamed Zahid.

Applications were also opened ollowing the resignation of President Aminath Enas, Moosa Ali Kileyfaan and Aishath Afreen Mohamed. They resigned after the Parliament decided to dismiss them as well.

Only Naiveen Abdulla remains part of the HRCM as of now.
