Maldives Health Professional Union (MHPU) has raised concerns after 28 nurses report they did not receive salary for June and July.

The MHPU took to Twitter saying that the union is concerned that 28 foreign nurses did not receive their basic salary for June and July and called for the payments to be made as soon as possible.

Attempts by One Online to get a comment regarding the story from an official institute have been unsuccessful to the time of publishing. And the Health Ministry said that they would give a response after looking in to the matter.

Online news Mihaaru reported that the delay was caused by a system issue according to an MHPU Official.

There have been no official comment or statement so far from any state institutes regarding the matter.
