Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) has appealed all to work from home and to keep offices closed, unless absolutely necessary.

Speaking during a press conference by the HEOC, Health Ministry's Deputy Director General of Policy Planning and International Health Aishath Saamiya said that if office work can be done from home, it would be the better option to go with right now.

Samiya highlighted that the government offices will also remain closed for the week and added that their recommendations for offices are to hold meetings and events virtually while allowing their employees to work from home.

She further added that cases found from office environments have a generally higher number of contacts and that these measures are to reduce the number of contacts.

Samiya also noted that even if workers had to resume work at office, it is discouraged to take breaks outside the office premises.
