Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) has announced a restriction on delivery and takeaway services after 9:30pm in an attempt to control the recent spike in COVID-19 numbers.

Speaking during a press conference by the HEOC, Health Ministry's Deputy Director General of Policy Planning and International Health Aishath Saamiya said that they are enforcing a restriction of movement in Male' area from 10:00pm to 5:00pm, and to support this restriction the last call for all deliveries and takeaway services will be 9:30pm.

The movement restriction applies to Male', Hulhumale' and Villimale'.

In addition to this, groups exceeding more than five people will also be banned from gathering in public to control the spread of COVID-19.

Male' City was previously in a tight lockdown due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic as well.
