The Presidential Committee investigating the flats case has said that the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has ordered the entire committee and staff to home quarantine for 14 days.

A statement issued by the committee said that this could take delay the publishing of the lists of the people getting the flats.

The committee and staff are being forced to quarantine after two of the employees tested positive for COVID-19.

The committee is set to announce the lists for flat-winners for the categories of teachers, Male’ residents, doctors and nurses.

And so, 284 applicants from the doctors and nurses’ categories have completed physical verification, 720 applicants from the teachers’ category along with 4,261 applicants from the Male’ City residents.

However, physical applications are yet to completed by one applicant in the atolls for the doctors and nurses’ category and 23 applicants from the Male’ residents' category.

The Committee said that aside from the applicants that has not gone through the review of their living conditions, all process of points to applicants have been completed. And the review of living conditions is underway in all categories except the category of married couples between the ages of 18 and 40.
