The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives had risen to 2,554 after 7 more people recovered from the illness in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 7 which brings the total number of recoveries to 2,554. With this, the total number of active cases is now 983.

The agency also confirmed and additional 61 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 44 Maldivians, 15 Bangladeshis and 2 Indians.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 3,567.

So far there are 15 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and ten Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
