137 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 3,506.
This marks the highest single-day increase in new cases.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 137 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 92 Maldivians, 31 Bangladeshis, 9 Indians, 4 Sri Lankans and ,1 Filipino.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 3,506.
They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at zero, with which the total number of recoveries remain at 2,547. With this, the total number of active cases is now 929.
So far there are 15 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and ten Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
