The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives had risen to 2,397 after 28 more people recovered from the illness in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 28 which brings the total number of recoveries to 2,397. With this, the total number of active cases is now 617.

The agency also confirmed and additional 45 cases of COVID-19 infections in Maldives. These include 31 Maldivians, 12 Bangladeshis and 2 Indians.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 3,044.

So far there are 15 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are four Bangladeshis and ten Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
